Teeth Bonding

Bonding is a special cosmetic procedure in dentistry to recover one’s smile when teeth have cracks and discoloration. A plastic material with the same tooth color, called resin, is applied in the affected tooth and hardened to bond the new material to the area. Bonding is an appropriate procedure for people who have cracked or chipped teeth, a decayed teeth with cavities, discoloration, too much space between teeth, or simply to modify the change or size of the teeth. It is also considered an alternative filling to amalgam, and may serve to protect the root of the tooth when it is exposed as a result of gum disease.
